Wellness care is crucial for the long-term health and wellness of all types of animals. What to Expect During a
WELLNESS EXAM
When you bring your pet to us for a wellness exam, he or she will receive a nose-to-tail checkup, which includes a close examination of their ears, eyes, teeth, skin, and coat. We’ll also listen to their heart and lungs, palpate their abdomen, and check their temperature, weight, and respiration.
If you have a puppy, kitten, or senior pet, they will receive the standard exam plus a few additional services. During a puppy or kitten wellness exam, we will also discuss recommended vaccines, training, heartworm and flea/tick prevention, and spaying/neutering. When you bring in a senior pet, we will also discuss recommended lab work, blood pressure, and supplements that may help them as they age.
